No wonder Owain Glyndŵr never got anywhere
Today me and MrsUW went into the Owain Glyndŵr pub in Cardiff, for a quick pint (for me) and something soft for her, I have not been in that pub for about four years.
I ordered a pint of VOG Wheats occurring (a nice surprise to have that in this sort of pub.)

But was told that the Coke machine was playing up and a manger had to change it, and they would deliver the glass of sugar and water to the table.
after 10 mins I went to the bar to see “what was occurring” (see what I did there) as the coke had not arrived and was told the manager was on the phone.
So I said can I get an orange and soda, “Sorry no orange” but if you want to wait… the coke will be about 5 mins”.
15 mins to wait for a coke (i suppose it’s not McPub) , when it was supposed to be just a quick pint, so I said can I get my money back – “Yes for the coke you can”
But what was the point of me drinking a pint (it was nice, mind you) when the Mrs is sitting there not drinking anything.
so I said I really wanted to get “all my money” back, she had to get the manager to do the refund, he was a different manager, so who was supposed to be changing the coke!
anyway I got all my £4.22 (yes thats right and it’s not even payday) back and managed to quaff half of a pint of the lovely VOG, so half a result – unfortunately the Owain Glyndŵr won’t be getting my custom again due to the slapdash service, for another 4 years, which is shame as the beer was good.
Don’t worry Beer fans I will try and pop to the Pub slammed on the side of the Owain Glyndŵr, which used to be the hogshead… sometime soon.
