Pub & Beer Review : Wheatsheaf Llantrisant

The other week myself and Rob ventured to the valleys, well sort of to my home town of Llantrisant to the opening of a pub, the Wheatsheaf. I have not been to that pub for many years or drinking in LLan for a while either, and it was good that someone is giving it a another go.

Rob provided the images as my got corrupted but that really summed up the night.

Wheatsheaf

To be honest I was going to write up a big review about this good old pub but was very disappointed with it and the beer I wont bother, its a shame as Newmans brewery and Celt Experience produce some great beers but on this occasion the Pure Welsh Ale was not up to starch in my opinion.

I may venture back again as the opening night may not be the omen of things to come, but it did not help that I waited 45 mins to get a bus from my village (about 5 miles) away to get there, and Rob travelled all the way from Newport… oh and the bus on the way home got it’s window broken going via Beddau which I know is not the fault of the pub, but it did not help with my night.

Hi, I own the wheatsheaf and as someone who has a great passion with all my business ventures, I believe active critisism is very important. However, there was no description other than you didnt like the beer or the pub, please give me reasons to try and improve either!
